Ramiro "Remy" Orozco, ESQ
Ramiro “Remy” Orozco has an associate’s degree from Santa Ana College, received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and his law degree, from Howard University School of Law in Washington D.C. Upon graduation, Remy moved to Jackson, MS and began his career working Of Counsel for Blackmon & Blackmon, of Canton, MS and as the litigation partner of Arase, Habashy and Orozco, in Huntington Beach, CA. In late 2005 Remy returned to Gulfport, MS and accepted a position with the Mississippi Center for Justice where he assisted the elderly with housing and Hurricane Katrina related issues. In 2007 he became an Assistant Public Defender in Gulfport, Mississippi.Remy is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Mississippi Public Defender Association. He is also a 2008 graduate of famed trial lawyer Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, Wyoming. The Trial Lawyer's College is an extremely intensive, life changing program for experienced trial lawyers lasting more than three weeks. Remy continues to be very active with the Trial Lawyers College.
Remy is an experienced trial attorney focusing primarily in personal injury and criminal law for the last several years. He believes that one cannot be a truly accomplished trial lawyer without developing yourself as a person. Remy feels that you have to understand who you are before you can understand judges, people on juries, prosecutors, witnesses and clients. Remy employs many unorthodox methods in his work with clients to fully develop the story of his clients' cases.
Remy was born was raised in Santa Ana, California. He has served as a U.S. Marine in Desert Shield/Storm and attended college using his G.I. Bill. Remy is fluent in Spanish.
